Tripod Quest [Guide]

First, go to Azure Cloud and visit NPC Grand Supreme Moral Heaven Lord (140, 112). You can obtain the Quest Touch With Tripod from him.

Take the first Upper Trigram: Qian, soon after you'll have two pieces in your bag (quest section), one Upper Trigram and Lower Trigram.


You'll have 1 hour and 40 minutes to solve 6 quest parts which are mostly scouting an NPC, gathering an item or delivering items. The last part is always killing a boss.

If you choose to start with Qian:, Here's a list of steps to finish the quest.

1st Series Upper Trigram: Qian

First Test: Kill: Thunder Resisting Mage Generals (0/72) -437, 192 in Azure Cloud (This is just one example of its coordinates) These monsters continuously do 200 Damage.

Second Test: 2 different Phylacteries (ex. Sharp Spear or Unyielding Shield)(3 pcs each).
On the second test, instead of handing in Phylacteries it is possible to happen that you are asked to deliver a Light Beard, though within doing the quest line 8 times you're only asked to deliver this maybe once or twice.

Light Beard @ Shen Mouru 135, 84 Heyang City (Cost= 3000 Loyalty Points points)
You can get one item only each Day.


Third Test: Collect: Nine Leaf Ganoderma Lucidum (0/1) AC -108, -278 or 118, -249

Fourth Test: Collect: Sky Pillar (0/1) Azure Cloud -11, -425

If you get the Seal Breaker item you have to go to the tower where the old xuanyuan master resides and dig the pillar where the 2 Treasure-Stealing Sprite are fighting each other. Before you can dig there you need to eliminate them first. The easiest method is to seek help from your pet so that you can hit both at the same time. Watch both of their HP bars and make sure that they die around at the same time so that you have enough time to dig the pillar before they respawn.

Fifth Test: Jump to the platform where Water Kylin stands.(Azure Cloud) (100, 125)

That Blue Water Kylin is standing on the platform to the left of Grand Supreme Moral Heaven Lord, you barely can miss him. If you own a Flying Sword, then you just can fly up to the platform and stand there for a little while until you get a popup message to continue. If you don't have a flying sword, then you need to use your movement speed+ / charge skill and jump on Water Kylin's platform from the hill on the backside.

Last Test: Kill: Heaven Lord Illusory Statue (0/1) Azure Cloud 353, 381

The boss tests at the end of the quests always take quite some time, that's the mere reason why you'll most likely need every minute you've available for the quest and most likely only be left with 30 minutes or less once you're finished. If you do the quest with 2 or three people, then you are able to kill the boss way faster.
Skills aren't much of use, because you won't make significantly higher damage than with normal attacks. Have some HP pots with you and let your pet help you to complete the last test.

You dont lose XP if you die at the Boss.

As soon as you have completed all 6 tests, you'll get a new rear part and some Taichi Pill as reward from Grand Supreme Moral Heaven Lord.
For now, stick with the Upper Trigram and don't exchange it for another one.
Once you've collected your pills and the Trigrams, which will change with every quest you do, you talk again to Grand Supreme Moral Heaven Lord and do the next quest if you feel like it or continue later on.

If you did the quest 8 times from the Qian series, you'll obtain this something like this:

This is the first of 8 pieces to obtain a Eight Pole Alchemy from Zheng ShuShu in Azure Cloud, if you give him 100 Gold along with all pieces. The Eight Pole Alchemy can be exchanged for new Dharmakaya's which give more HP / SP than the LV 135 Dharmakaya and later on even a good amount of damage reduction.

If you're done with all quests from the Qian series and got your first Eight Pole Alchemy out of 8, visit Grand Supreme Moral Heaven Lord again and take Touch With Tripod Quest again. Then you choose a new front part. If you want to go in order, then select Dur.




2nd Series Upper Trigram: Dur

First Test: Kill: Thunder Resisting Mage Generals (0/72) -437, 192 in Azure Cloud


Second Test: 2 different Phylacteries (ex. Sharp Spear or Unyielding Shield)(3 pcs each).

Third Test: Era Ginseng (0/1) Heyang City 344, -352; 52, 45 and -358 -18.

The herb Era Ginseng seems to be changing channel after quite some time. If you're lucky it might stay long enough on one realm but mostly the next day you find it somewhere else. If you need to search, start with Channel 5, have been most successful there.

Fourth Test: Find the Prophetic Taoist Master in Heyang City and consult him about the Secret of Symbol.



The Prophetic Taoist Master can be found on every channel and not changing channels like it was thought first. But he'll change positions on the map itself. He'll wait for some minutes at one point and then disappears to another location. It seems to be random which spot the Hermit chooses next, can even be the same spot again. But you need to decide for yourself if you want to travel all over the map to look for him or trying to change channels if you think that could end up in finishing that part of quest faster. The Prophetic Taoist Master has up to 6 different positions on the maps of Heyang, Azure Cloud and Heaven Sound.

Fifth Test: Jump to the top of the Flagpole in Heyang City.

It's the same flagpole you jumped on in an early Jump quests. If you want to save time, just use a Flying Sword. It's located at 135, 64.

Last Test: Kill: Golden Eye Suanni (0/1) Heyang City 368, 381

That's the boss in the upper left corner in Heyang City (368, 381), next to the other dangerous boss that guards the Altar. He uses an AoE attack, and therefore makes other monsters around attack him as well. Watch out that his AoE doesn't reach the boss. Once, I wasn't able to get the kill because the boss was hitting on it for 60,000 damage.

3rd Series Upper Trigram: Li

If you did everything correctly up to this point, you should have 8 different Spirit Mystery in your bag by now. With these and 100 Gold you visit Zheng ShuShu at 123, 192 (AC) and trade all this in exchange for one Eight Pole Alchemy, which you can hand in at Grand Supreme Moral Heaven Lord for your first Pneuma.

If you wanna have more than the first Pneuma, or even the very last one which has some nice stats on it, you'll have to do all of it over and over again because to get the next Pneuma you need a Eight Pole Alchemy again and the previous Pneuma.
