What Is A Pet?

The pet in Zhu Xian is your npc companion.
They are Funny little creatures that enjoy to talk to you.
They might make you laugh, and they might make you mad.
Pets can also evolve.

How Do We Get A Pet?

When you hit level 5 you will automatically get a quest from Pet Master Quie-Lan @HYC [209,42].

Complete the quest and you will randomly get one of two pets:

1. Wild Boar


2. North Hades Tree Bogey



What Are Pets Used For?

Pets serve many purposes they can do any of the fallowing:

1. Help kill mobs
2. Tank mobs
3. Can give you added stats by Pet Scholo or Pet Spirit
4. Can farm needed materials for themselves


How Do Pets Evolve?


Pets evolve by their ranks, their ranks are improved based on overall pets capability.

Grade 12 = first evolved state

Grade 18 = second evolved state

Raising Pet Grade


The level 45 quest Free Lunch can be done as many times as you wish.
When you get your new pet go train them to lvl 30 and go back to pet tamer to free them.
When you free them you will get broken jade pieces as reward.
Use the broken jade pieces to train your pet.

NOTE: You can only use the Jade peices to reach a certain Star Grade 8.
after this you will need Celebeans in order to raise their grade. ( no current information on how to obtain these)

You can see the pets current star grade by pressing P and hovering over the pets picture in the pet window.


How Do We Get A New Pet?

At level 45 you get a quest Free Lunch that has you kill some mobs,
when you finish the quest you get a new kind of pet.
You can either get a toad or a wolf.

There are additional pets in the Cash Shop J.
And also in the NPC itself..(costs 120G)


Can Pets Die?

Yes. Your pet dies when its age is full, while giving you an addition reward.
You can view your pets life by pressing P and hovering over the pets picture.

NOTE: The pets AGE/LIFE grows by one every FIVE [5] MINUTES, even if he is resting.

Tho this can that can prevented with a rebirth. there is an item which revives a dead pet.

You can reduce or add the pets Age by these items: [Found at Pet Emissary Mengxi Dou.]

Primality Back Spell
--Lengthen Pet's Life span by 100 points after cultivation--

Optical Echo Spell
--Lengthen Pet's Life span by 500 points after cultivation--

Spring Charm Spell
--Lower Pet's Life span by 100 points after cultivation--

Spring Heart Spell
--Lower Pet's Life span by 2000 points after cultivation--

NOTE: Age and health points are different, when its health points go to zero you can still summon him and heal him,
when its age points are full it dies.

How Do We Feed Our Pet?

Your pet will get hungry from time to time.
You can see how hungry, or not hungry it is by hovering over that green bubble
on the far right of the pets UI while summoned.

You can feed your pet by buying items from Pet Emissary Mengxi Dou.
If your lucky you can find potions, food and even charms in the wild.

NOTE: When your pet gets too hungry it will do less damage.

When your pet has a fuller tummy it can do extra damage.

How do We know if our pet is tired?
When pet is hungry it won't stay out, it will staw itself after a little while (its tired ok?).

--When its RED, its hungry and will be gone in less than a minute.
--When its YELLOW, it does 15% less dmg.
--When pet is in BLUE condition (little icon on pet bar on the right side) - it feels good.
--When its GREEN it feels excellent and does 15% MORE dmg.
So its useful to keep its hunger full.

Coloring Condition Order:
--Red--> Yellow--> Blue--> Green. [Red means its Tired or Hungry]

How Do We Make Pets Farm?

Once Your pet hits level 30 it gains the capability to FARM mats for itself.

These FARMING actions include:

1. Planting
2. Lumbering
3. Hunting
4. Fishing
5. Mining
6. Seek Treasure


--For collecting materials--
Req for FARMING: lvl 30 pet
Req for CRAFTING: lvl 60 pet

To set up your pet to collect.
Press P to bring up pet stat.
At the very top, the first button you will see PET MODE, click that.
Then select from Planting; Hunting; Mining; Lumbering; Fishing; Seek Treasure.

Dont forget to select the one that you have a good aptitude (craft status).
The higher the number the more likely your pet will come back with an item.

Once your all set click SAVE and EXIT.
Your pet will be gone for 15 min and will come back with a surpise for you or empty handed.
Everytime you pet collect an item, your pet's hunger go down. 100 hunger per item.

For each level in a farming skill you can get six mats (4 white, 1 blue and 1 purple).
Whites are used in basic recipes that you can buy from Pet Emissary Mengxi Dou (drop rates for these ones can be rare ).

NOTE: If your pet is summoned while doing this it will be stowed,
Do not worry about this it must be stowed in order to farm.
When you unsummon it the pet will go back into combat mode.

Auto Feeding


You can auto feed your pet by pressing P and putting a potion,
like FORTITUDE FRUIT, into the empty box on the bottom right of the pet window.
When the pet loses a certain amount of health it will automatically use the potion.

*FORTITUDE FRUIT can be purchased on Universe Treasure House (Press J) for 15 Gold Ingots

Another item used for auto feeding is the Purple Heaven Fruit
Can be purchased at Pet Emissary Mengxi Dou for 10 Golds

Pet Bag

Nine Star Glaze - used to increase the slots in your pet bag.

You can buy items from the Universe Treasure House (Press J)
Expand the pet bag at Pet Emissary Mengxi Dou.


NOTE: It is not necessary to have a pet bag for your pet to start collecting.
If you dont have a pet bag, the item that your pet pick up will go to your bag.

Pet Stops Gaining EXP

Your pet will stop gaining EXP when it reaches five levels higher then you.
Once you level it will continue to gain EXP again.

Pet Leveling Tips

1. To level up a pet straight from 1 to 30 you can use 7 mirage candy or 1 kyrin orb (lvl 45).

2.(skill) You can level up pet skills or learn a new skills with the Book of Domestication,
--an item that can be acquired by lottery from treasure chest
sold at Sky Dweller cost 50g and sense its a lottery item so you might end up spending a pretty penny to get it,
and be exchanged to the skill book you want at the other pet tamer Lonno.
Even so each book will increase skill level by 1 so if you want it to hit level 30 you might end up spending over 1500g.

3. Nura's Gift gives dragonfang herbs that give you pet fighting spirit.
It can be leved up and given for Pet Tamer Totto to give you items such as eera herb and exp. orb ( randomly ).

Pet Actions

PET SCHOLO (Pet Spirit)
--The Master and the Pet will now be one of flesh and soul, thus obtaining additional Defense--

PET TREASURE
--Fusing the Pet and the Master, adds up additional Attack.--

PASSIVE MODE[b]
--Pet will not attack any target.--

--Pet attacks any targeting monsters/player at the Master or itself.--

--Attack any target the Master is attacking--

[b]FOLLOW
--order its pet to follow its master--

--Order the pet to attack the target--

--Order the pet to stay put--

How to EVOLVE your PET

You need to upgrade your pet's GRADE not LEVEL.
Highlight your pet's portrait and you will see all of his stats, one of those being GRADE [STAR GRADE].
Another way to view this is to unequip your pet, then mouseover him in your bag to see all the stats, grade included.

WAYS

1. The fastest way to upgrade growth is to upgrade your pet's skill growth(by Training with Jades at Pet Master Qiuye-Lan).
If you go to Pet Emissary Mengxi Dou, under his Celestial bean and Ancient Jade tab
You'll find many Jades that increase the growth of certain stats.
There are various levels of these Jades, Ordinary, Common and Top.
They all vary in cost of Celestial beans.
*You can get Celestial beans in various ways, through quests and sometimes drops.

2. Another method is doing the level 45 quest Free Lunch, this can be done as many times as you wish.
When you get your new pet go train them to lvl 30 and after that, go back to pet tamer to FREE [Release] them.
When you free them you will get BROKEN JADE PIECES as reward.
Use the Broken Jade Pieces to train your MAIN PET.
For Short, The pets that are given to u as a reward wud be juz be a SACRIFICE.
But, This method only works until GRADE 8, coz those JADES u get when u released a pet,
only works for GRADE 8 and Below pets.

After your pet reaches Grade 12 or 18, you can now purchase a BLUE UMBRELLA.
Go to Pet Emissary Mengxi Dou and under the GROCERY FOR SALE tab, he has blue umbrellas.
Then go to Pet Master Qiuye-Lan and Train your pet with the BLUE UMBRELLA,
and he will change his appearance.


Extra Notes:
- You only can change the appearance (evolve) your pet at Grade 12 and Grade 18.

-Just leveling with one stat growth per level will take you a long time to achieve Grade 12.
Upgrading all stat growths is a faster way to increase your pet's grade.

- You can also upgrade Grade of your pet by using his skills,
but that takes awhile!
